Moonlight scrapes a late-autumn sky
A last leaf clings to life
On barren branches reaching
To where love once soared
Along a summer wind.
Now the season's dying day
Leaves an empty, broken heart
Yet in this winter's finality
A seed of hope foreshadows
An unwritten chapter ahead.

We wander, near and far,

Tendrils of mist curl out,

Her visage
