Good Boy is a brilliant horror film that provides an elemental and emphatic experience of empathy with its canine protagonist.

Then one of the most fun chats I've had in a while:
Bina Bhattacharya on her film From All Sides.

Two chats I've had lately that have gone live today on the site.
First up:
Kween Kong on playing the villain of Lesbian Space Princess.

I watched Japanese horror short Magai-Gami quite recently. Sadly it's not available online, but I suspect it will be adapted to a feature film before long.
fictionmachine.com/2025/07/23/f...
I rewatched The Moths Will Eat Them Up the other day. It's available here. It's quite good.

Have you watched a short film recently?
If so, what was it?
If it's online, share a link below.
Javier Bardem: βI won't work. I cannot work with somebody that justifies or supports the genocide, I canβt. Thatβs as simple as that.β

Do yourself a favour and go and watch them in a cinema. Thank me later.
And if that's not enough, then give this interview by @nadinewhitney.bsky.social with Julie Pacino a listen ahead of I Live Here Now screening at SUFF this weekend.

Next up is @nadinewhitney.bsky.social chatting with the one and only Tina Romero about her film Queens of the Dead which opens the Sydney Underground Film Festival tonight.

This is so awesome Ben. Watched it tonight after the footy and was the exact lift up I needed.
06.09.2025 17:24 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I don't think Magnificent A.I.mbersons will come to pass, but everyone who cares about film should reject it on principle. It sets a dangerous precedent for film preservation & restoration, bc what's to stop them from letting classics fall into disrepair when they think they can just regenerate it
05.09.2025 16:08 β π 99 π 20 π¬ 0 π 0Really though, the entire film should just be a remake of Hands on a Hard Body, but with Street Fighter characters.
