They excited for a new book in August (magic academic rivals travel to hell to get a rec from a teacher). But then it turned into dumping on romantasy with statements like “if they so much as kiss, it will ruin the whole book for me,” and then they went on and on about it.

I just had to stop listening to a certain book-related podcast because of all the literary smug superiority. I wanted to just love on all books together, but then they had to go dumping on certain genres.

Had a blast at Boozy Book Fest in Kansas City last night 📚💙🍹I got a bunch of books including some new-to-me local authors, a cat phone stand, stickers, and a wildly appropriate shirt. The delicious drink was Catcher in the Rye 🥃🍉
