A little character for December 1 has pink hair, and a pink sword. And resembles a miniature Funko Pop, but doesn’t look like what was advertised.

So, my enthusiasm for K-Pop Demon Hunters led me to buy an Advent Calendar off the Zon. But the actual characters don’t look like the ones on the listing and are cheaply made. So, this a heads up for buyers. I feel a little foolish. Well, maybe I will paint them or something.

Recently, I’ve decided that if I feel super unwell, I take the day off. And by allowing myself to do completely nothing, I often find can catch up easily the next day. So for me, those body breaks are really important. (I also factor in those breaks when planning deadlines.) #SpoonieAuthChat

I look for overused and unnecessary words like just, now, very, and really. While I like reading things out loud to feel the beats of dialogue, I also like having my screen reader read back to me. Or having somebody else read my words back to me. It’s a great way to catch things! #SpoonieAuthChat

Yeah, I have also heard, “You can’t make friends after age 40!” And I met my BFF at 43! And in the last few years (I’m 56 now), I keep making cool new friends!

One thing I’ve learned in life is that when you are respectful and inclusive, a side benefit is you end up with a whole lot of really interesting and amazing friends! That’s not why I am respectful and inclusive, but I am happy to be a friend to these awesome friends!

What’s fun for me as an editor is seeing my clients’ books finally published. I feel proud and excited when they do well too.

I like feeling cozy. So comfy clothes, including fuzzy socks if it’s cooler weather. I love my office because it’s so me, but under a blanket on a couch with my iPad or laptop resting on top of a pillow is nice too. I just need that cozy factor! #SpoonieAuthChat
