Certainly territorial, as well as prolonged song flights and calling it got quite agitated and was alarm calling around a clump of reeds that it kept returning back to.

Heard the blackbirds alarm calling earlier and realised something was going on at the nest in the pyracantha. Was expecting a corvid to appear and to my surprise it was a kestrel.

More like October than July on the North Norfolk coast today with a brisk northerly wind and a turbulent sea. Not a lot around, a few waders out to sea and cattle egrets everywhere across Cley/Salthouse Marshes #Norfolkbirding
