I try to avoid absolute language unless it's part of a humorous statement, and it's intentional in that case

Sadly, we're sort of invisible in many dialogues. I've had to contend with a lot of internalized ableisms and be mindful that I'm not doing the same things

What if the original statement isn't yours? How do you know what the full intent was?

It's interesting to me when people double down and become angry when you comment that their generalized statement needs nuance because of collateral. Why not just acknowledge that it was a general statement and not meant to cover every use case? Is it because that undermines the original statement?

I just wanna be able to live a comfortable life, loving who I love, liking what I like, and being me. I'm not trying to hurt anyone. I want to do my best to help and be a bright spot in the lives of others

What did we do to warrant such cruelty? Just let us live our lives! We're not hurting anyone by existing...
