PSN being down since yesterday, over the weekend, during the start of the open beta of the most anticipated game of the year, is a BIG ball drop on Playstations part.

It is not a coincidence that US politicians, both red and blue, are all buying META stocks right at the same time they're banning TikTok. It was never about national security. Since 2018 META has had 13 data breaches.

This goes for all forms of insurance too. I mean like, can you imagine going into a restaurant or clothes shop and being asked to list you age, disabilities, medical history, postal address, social status, etc, because depending on your answers your coffee miught cost more?

It's weird the things we accept and are ok with purely because they are about insurance that wouldn't fly in ANY other type of business. Can you imagine any other commercial business getting away with charging you extra based on protected demographics?

The harder a company makes it to unsubscribe from their the service, the more certain I become that unsubscribing the all I want to do.

People talk about a lot of scummy jobs, but I feel like I've of the ones always left out of the conversation are bailiffs. I can't think of a scummier business model than literally being dude paid to intimidate people for money and steal their belongings if they refuse.

The Tories lost by a landslide to Labour, Rishi Sunak resigned as leader of the Tory party, and the Lib Dems increased their seats by 63. What a fucking election.

In the UK on July 4th, a vote for a party you don’t think can win STILL HAS AN IMPACT. It signals support for those policies, and helps those parties garner even more support in future.

Just because your choice doesn’t win DOES NOT MEAN YOUR VOTE IS WASTED.

In a shitty anti consumer fit to prevent pirating. When watching netflix on my PC I can now achieve a higher resolution by pirating the shows and movies. On Netflix, with the UHD subscription, I can't even watch in 720p on my PC. Pirating is the only way. How is this good for anyone?

Btw if anyone is concerned about the increase in costs, ads and cracking down on account sharing. I legally cannot recommend you get a raspberry pi, VPN, and download a free software that gives you access to everything, and is really easy to do. That is illegal and you shouldn't do it.

Every streaming service now following suit to Netflix and also increasing costs and also adding ads to a service you already pay for means we're literally just going back to cable TV. You know, the thing people abandoned for streaming services due to the cost and ads. A pattern may emerge here...

Happy trans day of visibility! I would like to take this moment to say the 31st of March has been the trans day of visibility for over a decade, and the 31st is not exclusively dedicated to Easter a celebration that moves date every year, regardless of what transphobes will have you believe.

Why do no games have a motion blur slider instead of just flat on or off. A game looks them most natural with a little, but the majority of games have it so severe that the only way I can play is with it off. Let me set it to like 0.2, just a hint of blur.

I had this happen to a video on wholesome memes. I've made some intensely political and controversial videos with nothing, uploaded a wholesome memes video, and bam, age restricted and demonetised.

Oh goodie Reddits new ugly layout and website change also means that all images saved on PC now save as webp, which means when saving posts for videos I have to manually change every single post to PNG, because webp is the worst image format and adobe refuses to support it. Wonderful.

On the subject of this, can I really not go a SINGLE Marvel show without it becoming about the multiverse? I was enjoying Legion but ffs I'm so tired of the multiverse stuff. Can we have a superhero show or movie where that isn't a thing?

Is there a German word for liking the first season of a show, but not liking the second, but watching it anyway in the hope that it might get better but it never does so you just end up not enjoying the time you spend watching it?
