These five colors did not make it to the recent “this or that?“ Series because they’re super stable and their colors don’t change from one temperature to another. These are durable and predictable.

I don't envy historians of the future. So much propaganda and mis/dis-information to sift through to document what ACTUALLY happened.

I was just making more of these, and I think it’s a good example of why potters are delulu. We start and end in completely different places with the same pieces.

At least for now, this is the last this or that. Same as before same clay same bisque firing same glaze. One glaze firing was cooler/hotter than the other.

Just got my first wholesale order!! Whoot!🎉

I have a high filtration bag and filter on my shopvac or I would never do this in a ceramic studio. My making cycle makes a mess and it takes real effort to clean up, especially when I’m in a new space that’s not perfectly worked out yet. Cleaning and resetting.

The first one of these I sold was more along the lines of "that" which surprised me. Blue is not a sure thing apparently! 😆

Today’s “this or that” features an blue lavender glaze. This one also had very different reactions to the cooler/hotter firing.
