With my recent acquisition of The Suicide Motor Club I have finally completed my collection of @buehlmeister.bsky.social books. As I was shelving them I thought what better companion to The Necromancer’s House than my hand of glory sculpture?

Coming up on a year with my new tattoo and this is the first time the maples have changed since, and I’m so happy right now.

To be clear our local Walgreen's is a mess sometimes, they might well have cancelled because no one was there to administer the shots, who knows?

I don't have the energy to track what's up with (what's left of) the FDA and what they're doing with the COVID vaccine. All I know is it's September which means it's time for me. Tried to set one up online at Walgreens, got cancelled. Got through at CVS, came home with my vaccine. 💉✅

I grew up in rural-ish Tennessee so I am familiar with the whole-moon view.

The conversation about catching errors / Raspberry Beret had me thinking “wait, did Walkmans (Walkmen?) have auto-reverse in 1987?”

Just re-read Nevada by Imogen Binnie and it's even better the second time which probably has something to do with me being less stupid than before? I haven't figured that part out yet.

How can they match your speed while running backwards? How are they ducking the branches and navigating the turns? Their expression never changes. You start to realize you’re catching spiderwebs as you run, strands that should have been broken moments ago by your doppelgänger leading the way.

… and they have your face. You stand, shocked. They stare blandly at you. You take a step towards them and at the same time they take a step back, maintaining the distance. You step again, faster, and they step backwards in sync. You start jogging at them but gain no ground. You break into a run.

I’ll be there. Grateful to Malaprop’s for advertising the event, wouldn’t have come across you and your work otherwise. Or at least not so quickly.
