4. Aurat. Lovely post punk out of LA. I am sure many of you are familiar, but they are new to me and I heard them via some KEXP world goth day programming.

3. Muqata'a. Nice electronic music from a Palestinian artist. Very new to me, but I prefer the more abstract side of his work. I sincerely hope he is okay.

2. Human Impact (new to me) / Cop Shoot Cop (classic). Because mood. I never understand why Idles don't get compared to Cop Shoot Cop.

I guess experimental, could fit in well with the ~scape/Pole camp, but also Ran Slavin has amazing ambient work that feels very Touch (label) friendly.

The feeling of "location" and "place" in his work is intense.

Music I have been (re)exploring and enjoying recently:

1. Ran Slavin. He was a favorite in my past, and a recent revisit really does not change that. An amazing electronic music producer from Israel...

"illegal" is such a nasty term. As if human worth is defined by borders.

The lyrics, the dynamics, the cracking voice... you can feel what they mean, even with the simple counting, when they repeat:

"do you ever feel like the room is heavy..."

This whole album is filled with moments like this.
I need to see them live I think.

I was of course already uneasy++ about deportations, but the sliding window edging towards citizens is... a lot to process. Again, monsters.

Had no idea what #jedthefish was up to in recent years, but it looks like he had a blast with sound a video, and was a modular fan. Good for him and I hope the last years of his life were a joy.
