Any recommendations for a short stay in Dublin? (Other than Guinness)

I think Bluesky also deserves puppy content, my parents new puppy Elwood, he's adorable. A puppy is exhausting, wonderful to spend time with but I'm happy to now be home with my older boys.

5*5 Friday

While I do need a more substantial Friday routine I'm quite enjoying the soup and seitan I've been making the last couple of Friday mornings while I work out what that routine will be

As I've never been to Dublin we've booked onto the Guinness storehouse, and I'm told worth it for the view even if I don't really drink the black stuff

Friday will involve an oompah band

I may work for an environmental charity but it is mostly remote desk work so it is great when I'm given a reason to get out to one of the reserves with actual people

It seems something I've listened to this week has upset any 5*5 makers, and with going off Spotify I can't use my back up of stats.fm anymore

I've pretty much said the same thing for Suicide Machines, last time they played Slamdunk even though we were there for gate opening we still missed the start of their set because the festival can be a shambles. Dance Hall Crashers only thing that would make me consider (& help with gender balance)

We have the first single you bought for yourself, on repeat in teenage years, reminders of uni, a recent discovery/rediscovery and an album you'd save from a flood. Now I just need to narrow some of these down

Normally the phrase 'icebreaker' instills fear through my being, but the one we've been given for team away day next week is all about music

I do work somewhere with a royal charter, but it is a bit different in the charity sector

Yeah needing to be presentable for jobs is not ideal, when having fully purple hair I dyed it normal for an interview that went rather badly and felt such a waste! These days of remote working it is easy for me to pretend to not be 70% purple

I'd say embrace it! James is now quite white in the beard, the sides of his head have been white for many years (but if course short due to his hairstyle of the last 20 or so years), the bit that has the least greys is the bit he has always dyed mohawk bit

The week after my 40th I found my first grey hair, well, it was more a significant length white just out of my parting - not sure how I missed it before.
I feel with the way I dye my hair I don't look like I'm trying to hide it

My son starts school on Friday and so to keep him in a routine he's doing his normal 3 days at nursery, today I discovered all other school starters have now left nursery, have double checked all paperwork just to be sure we haven't really messed up

5x5 Friday, Tidal did an update yesterday and now links, but that means the later half of the grid is likely single listens, with a hint of 4 year old songs

It is so good! We have the final season to watch still
