I feel like attendance is either taken waaaayyyy too seriously, or not at all. I can see it being based on role, too, I suppose. The past couple of cushy office jobs didn't care, current one included. If you have the time to take off, do it.

But every job that I've had that *does* have (keyword) affordable healthcare employee benefits, has never asked for a note unless it's more than 3 days (Which I feel is reasonable).
