I'm watching the 1988 BBC version of The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe and I don't remember Edmund being such a complete shit in the 21st Century film version. Was he always this nasty? Can't remember if I read the book.

The star example of this is The Wizard of Oz, 1939. They've tried remaking and revising it and making sequels, which a lot of people hated. The 1939 version is theoretically a remake of the silent 1925 and 1910 versions, or at least another adaptation of the same book.

There was a show called Avenue 5 that depicts oligarchs ruining space. At one point, it has a ring of turds orbiting their space cruise ship.
