I love the game personally, it isn't hard to see why it got so much hype at TGAs
game is a black hole if you like roguelikes at all

Finally broke through, and lo and behold, it's my favorite series to date
Very Berserk coded.
Sounds like me, except I was bought Dark Souls on PC by a friend and was told "you gotta play this and let me watch" (as is tradition).
Tried it for a good 4 hours or so, didn't really like it.
Came back to it years later and hit a wall at Capra Demon. Took like 8 hours of game time to beat him 😂
I could totally understand this, and this is a major reason I recommend Elden Ring to any newcomers to the franchise as a whole.
Dark Souls 1 kinda comes close with how interconnected it is, but you have to be semi-familiar already to REALLY skip stuff, plus it falls off in the 2nd half.
