I know AI coding tools are far from perfect, but this ENTIRE page's UI came from one prompt:

"When I upload an audio file, I want you to show me the different processes happening in real-time, give me separate loading states, and checkmark things as completed."

The time saved is insane 🀯.

Welp, may as well reboot IWearYourShirt πŸ˜‚ 🀷.

Digg was a huge accelerant to the early eyeballs/attention on that project.

Amazing how time has flown by.

Just sharing this as a bit of closure for myself.

Quite anti-climactic, but hey, lots of working on a business is exactly that.

Will see if I can outsource social content creation as an experiment next (or go Meta/TikTok paid ads route).

We all know AI has fully disrupted organic search traffic. Attention has never been higher on social platforms and this tiny project reinforced that in my mind (honestly I forgot about the damn blog half the time πŸ˜†πŸ˜†πŸ˜†).

I want to experiment w/ social content for Teachery but don't have the capacity.

There was a specific CTA and promo code that could be used from this blog only.

😩 CTA button(s) were never clicked
πŸ™… Promo code was (obviously) never used

I don't think the CTA/promo was the issue, I think we're in a content revolution right now and anyone with a blog is feeling it.

πŸ’° Total cost for this project: $420 (two SaaS tools)
⏱️ Total hours of my time spent: ~20 hours (over 3 months)

A good reminder of low effort work almost always = low returns.

Probably could've spent those 20 hours making ONE incredibly good IG Reel to get 100x viewership πŸ™ˆπŸ€·.

Officially calling it quits on the daily πŸ€– AI blog experiment ❌.

After 90 days and 73 published blog posts, the writing was on the wall with only about 1 visitor per day πŸ˜‚.

I had SUPER LOW expectations, so I am not necessarily bummed, just chalking this up to a failed experiment.

Why do people over 50 not understand responding to a text message with only "Ok" does NOT sound like they think it sounds? πŸ˜†

Whenever they write back "Ok" I have a moment of panic.

Shit... did I offend them? Are they mad? What went wrong? To find out they literally meant, "yeah, that's okay!" πŸ™„

Insane times... INDEED! We're just on the cusp of this technology shift too.

I've yet to watch a Lovable-specific video where someone has launched the project 😝. So I felt extra proud mine existed and wasn't just another note-taking app πŸ™ˆ.

Thanks dude!

I recorded as much as I could and you can watch me build OfferMath.com step-by-step in this video: youtu.be/FMq4CRNBlw0

Hope you enjoyed reading this and feel free to play around with OfferMath for the free hour πŸ˜‰.

At this point, the project was ready to ship πŸš€. Still a TON to fiddle with, but I wanted to call it "good enough" and not get bogged down in too many details.

To launch:

πŸ‘Ύ Transfer to Github (one click)
🏠 Setup custom domain (2 DNS records w/ Netlify)
🌟 PUBLISH!

The next hour was spent adding saving functionality βœ….

We got off to a great start, but it had trouble not showing saved offer comparisons to ALL accounts (instead of isolating them to the account that created them).

Back and forth I went, but we figured it out!

BUT... it took about 3 hours to get the auth system to properly interact with successful payments.

Almost asked a dev friend for help as it was SUPER frustrating at times why it couldn't do what felt like basic account creation post-purchase.

Eventually got it working πŸ’ͺ

Then it was time to charge for the tool!

πŸ’° Created a new product in Stripe
πŸ’° Created a new price for that product in Stripe
πŸ’° Created a Stripe API Key and Webhook Endpoint
🀲 Giving those things to the AI and telling it to make it work

Took about 15 minutes to get payments working 🀯

I spent an hour fiddling with small UI tweaks that didn't matter AT ALL at this point in the build, but couldn't resist.

One thing I really hate is working on ugly things πŸ™ˆ. So, the fact that the AI can make things prettier as we go is hugely motivating to keep me working.

Then I started working on the core functionality:

- Being able to add multiple offer ideas
- Highlighting one as a winning idea based on...
- Asking the AI to create a weighting scale to choose the best idea based on revenue + enjoyment score (as submitted by the user when adding the idea)

The next hour was prompting Lovable to apply the design system to pages in the app.

Since the only pages are the main (index) page and auth pages, it happened almost instantaneously πŸ˜‚.

A bit of tweaking here and there, I love that you can select specific areas on the page to adjust πŸ‘Œ.

The second hour was building a "Design System" page.

I've found through a few other projects that design gets WONKY AF and out of control without a design page to reference with typography, colors, etc.

I gave it ONE reference image from Dribbble and then said, "make it fun!"

The first hour was spent:

βœ”οΈ Letting the AI spin-up the project from 1 prompt
βœ”οΈ Creating + connecting Supabase (button clicks)
βœ”οΈ Telling it "create auth pages"

Surprisingly enough, I've done a few of these Lovable project setups and this one had a few setup errors. Just click "fix" a bunch πŸ˜†.

Here's an hour-by-hour recap of building a tiny business tool with ZERO coding skills this past weekend. ⬇️

Overview:

1. A simple tool that helps rank your next biz idea
2. Nothing pre-designed except for a placeholder logo
3. Just a few notes written in Notion

Doing it all with Lovable(.dev):

Not a dev.
Couldn't tell you who these guy are.

Still, thoroughly appreciated the convo πŸ™.

Also, Justin, great MC work. It's very easy to ignore how smoothly you carry the transitions and questions of the show. It's like you've been podcasting for a few years πŸ˜‚.

What got interaction on social over the years:

2010: "I ate a sandwich, what's everyone up to?"
2015: "I learned these 12 tips, you'll be shocked at #9"
2020: "Covid"
2025: "I made $1,000,000 in 9 days with AI, comment 'course' to get my full plan you can copy"

I can say, I'm very happy with Feather + Outrank as products. Updates happen quickly. Support is SOLID.

Would recommend both products if you want to play around and try them out πŸ‘πŸ‘.

Overall, I'd say at this point I'm just in a holding pattern. I feel like the next checkin at the 90-day mark will be a true test of my willpower to keep doing this or to scrap it.

I 100% know the content being created isn't groundbreaking... but also... it's not the worst content either 🀷.

The good news is: Impressions are going up! πŸ“ˆ

The lackluster news is: Only 9 clicks into articles in 3mo πŸ˜…

@tmaker.io wrote back to a question I had and mentioned to beef up the metadata a bit for some of the posts that are starting to rank, so I'll need to spend more than 5 minutes doing that.

In the past 30 days, there has been a slight/tiny/baby uptick in organic traffic πŸ‘€.

We are talking about... 26 total visitors πŸ˜‚, but it's more than zero, folks.

No paid conversions, not expecting that this early on. Just wanted to see some traffic coming in from this content.

β€ͺDay 60 of Al-generated blog πŸ€–:

⚑️ Recap: Using feather.so + outrank.so (~$130/mo) to create an automated daily blog. Will it attract traffic/customers to my small SaaS?

⏳ I spend 5mins each day swapping out AI-gen images as they're awful πŸ™ˆ.

🎯 I told myself I'd do this for 100 days.

So far...?
