The Coffin’s Tale~ more designs for @realgdt.bsky.social FRANKENSTEIN! The coffins were based on real Fisk coffins of the time & great ref pitched by awesome Costume Designer @katehawleycostume.bsky.social (an example of wonderful collab between depts) & worked up to final design through art dept.

This is one of my all time favorite designs. I love how Guy carries the language over to the smaller versions. They're just perfect and the props looked amazing on screen.

Gorgeous work! I got to see the keyframe for this early and it became my most anticipated part of the film. Did not disappoint!

Guy's work is so incredible. Imloved this part of the flick, the imagery is burned into my brain. That puppet based on this design, absolutely amazing.

Nice! Skeleton Crew was pretty instrumental to me. Especially The Mist, The Raft, Survivor Type and The Reach.

My parents have a cabin that has a floating wooden raft in front of it, and I still try to avoid stepping in-between the planks.

I dig this a lot. Wish movies would push this kind of stuff into their aesthetic. It'd be bold and unique.

Looks around and mumbles "It says ALIEN 3, but that's clearly the alien design from ALIENS."

The Creature is one of my all time fav monster designs. I tried to draw it so many times as a kid, probably a big reason I went into art in the first place.

She also designed another fav of mine, the Metaluna Mutant!

An incredible talent.

They are also good with their employees, at least the ones I know who work there. They've been there decades and still happy.

I heard one experince about a new employee that at their first day orientation the person said 'You have school age kids, what's better for you, mornings or afternoons.'

Happy Frankenstein Day! Felt like winding down with some fan art of @realgdt.bsky.social’s flick, which released today on Netflix but is also still in theaters, which is where I recommend seeing it.

Loved this film.

Such a visual feast. Guy’s work is all over this in the best possible way. I walked out of the theater feeling like I have not in some time, it's so epic and grand, but uniquely personal to GDT.

I recommend seeing it in a theater if you can, but it's available to anyone with Netflix now.

It was fun and I really appreciated it. Came at just the right time. Plus....
