So I was a bit hasty, Doom the Dark Ages gets a lot more fun when you get used to shield combos. I don't think I'll ever like it as much as Eternal, but it's growing on me.

6 levels in and I'm sad that Doom the Dark Age feels really lame. The weapons feel really fucking good, but the swap speed is glacial. Forcing you to use the shield and melee that makes the game feel like it plays itself. Still hoping something will click for me by the end.

I mean... That's one way to eat out.
