Tsengi points at himself, "Tsengi.." He then points to Zorua, "Pretty Poke-poke belong to Uncle Archer. Wanna play?!"

Tsengi was tackled as his face was being licked from ear to ear when Sky came over. He couldn't help but giggle as the Zorua's tongue tickled him. Hearing the voice of another made him sit up, looking around.

When he spotted the other, he tilted his head.

"We're playing tag. You play?"

Poor kid didn't even know that he was being used as bait while a woman was being murdered on the other side of the wild area.

All he knew was that he was spending an afternoon with his Uncle Archer and he was having a blast playing in a new region.

That's basically what happened with her. Shauntal picked Lucian over Grimsley. Grimsley also wanted Shauntal but fell back on Karen. But now that Shauntal is free, he's with her, leaving Karen as a mother +

"What..? Oh no no no..Rui doesn't need to get involved. She has enough on her plate as it is."

Karen lost it. She felt so heartbroken after saying goodbye to Queen. That Houndoom had been with her since the beginning and now..she was gone.

"I..I stayed with her until the end. I can't believe she's gone now. Her pups don't even have a parent anymore."

Karen took a drag, desperately trying to calm herself down.

"I can't find him anywhere.. but I couldn't just sit around and cry. I just took Kaito and Ayame with me to the Pokémon Center. But.. we were too late.

Nurse Joy couldn't do anything for Queen. She lost too much blood and.."

She bit her bottom lip and closed her eyes. Reliving the nightmare in her head honestly made her want to cry out.

"I knew.. I had to take her in to get checked, but I couldn't just leave the kids here. So, as I was getting the kids together, Ayame mentioned some about Tsengi going somewhere.."

Karen got quiet for a moment, looking away as she picked up her cigarette.

"I don't know everything that happened, but..after the broadcast, I looked around for Queen and..I found her just about half a yard from the back gate. She was bleeding out from the neck."

Karen just shakes her head.

"Do me a favor and never pull a stunt like that again. I'd rather you not lose your title as an elite if you managed to get someone hurt."

She pulls back, brushing her tears away before going back to her seat.

"Well, I suppose it all happened when I was watching that ridiculous broadcast of you in Sinnoh with Lucian and some vampire chick. Which was a dumbass idea, by the way. Those people could have been hurt, you idiot!"

It took Karen a moment to even acknowledge Will was there. As she turned to see him, she placed her glass on the table and rests her cigarette in her ashtray before running towards him. Karen held him in her arms, nearly squeezing him.

Her shoulders started to shake as she softly sobbed into him.

At the sound of the knock, Karen's Gengar slowly swung the door open. Will could find Karen sitting on the back porch. All but one light was off inside the living room.

Right now, she needed to get home and figure out how to find Tsengi..and check on Queen's pups.

...and God, if anyone stopped her from drinking tonight, they were getting an earful.

She waved for her kids to follow her home.

When they asked about Queen, Karen said nothing. She wasn't ready to tell her kids that Queen was dead. She could hardly believe it herself.

Silent tears fell down her cheeks as Nurse Joy wrote down the time of death before taking a step back to let Karen have a moment with her dearly departed Pokémon.

After about twenty minutes, Karen brushed away her tears and signed the death +

Karen carefully removed the collar around her Houndoom's neck and then covered the head of her precious Pokémon.

Her heart hurt so much...

Queen gave her cheek a brief lick before taking a deep breath. The heart monitor in the room then made a flatline beep, cutting Karen's heart to pieces.

"G-goodbye, Queen.."

"Shh.. don't push yourself. I'm right here. If you're in pain, you can let go. I'll look after your little ones. I promise.. Go on and get some rest. You've earned it."
