I just think it's ridiculous that if I did want to port my stuff to Apple platforms, there's no way to cross compile, and I'm not legally allowed to virtualize, and they don't support OpenGL or Vulkan, and I can't just install an app for testing without hassle, etc etc.

Just not worth it.

I tried both .glb and .fbx versions and I had the same issue. Your blocky characters set work fine though. Could you take a look at let me know if I'm doing something wrong? It could well be me! Thanks!

@kenney.nl Hey! I think there might be something up with the animations in the Mini Characters 1 kit. I tried loading the .glb files into my custom engine and the animations exist, but the animation times are super short. I tried viewing in f3D and Blender and I can't get them to work there either..

Finally: AI cannot do your job, but an AI salesman can 100% convince your boss to fire you and replace you with an AI that can't do your job, and when the bubble bursts, the money-hemorrhaging "foundation models" will be shut off and we'll lose the AI that can't do your job, and you will be long gone, retrained or retired or "discouraged" and out of the labor market, and no one will do your job. And 90% of the time, if you're a graphics dev, the symptom of that bug is "why isn't this rendering anything???!"

No matter how experienced you are as a developer, you'll still regularly run into bugs that stop you in your tracks and block you for a day while you try to figure out what's going on.

Today is one of those days.

One thing I find telling about AI statements from tech companies are the words "could replace" or "hope to". There's some absolutely unproven assumption that AI "will continue to improve" rapidly.

There's little evidence that the magic prediction machine will do much more than it's already doing.

I love this so much and I am absolutely tearing up about it. The gentleness and plainness of this, the way he just lets her be her (and she seems so damn lovely, who wouldn’t?), the generosity.
