Love this! You might consider starting her on the D&D card game, Dungeon Mayhem, which says it is made for 8+ (although I have heard of 6YOs playing it).

05.01.2025 02:28 β π 8 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Actually not the first. Attorney Troy Doucet, founder of AI.Law, filed an AI written complaint in the SD of Ohio back in March 2024. Doucet v. Revco Solutions, Inc., 2:24-cv-01367, (S.D. Ohio). The company posted a story about it on their blog: www.ai.law/blog/ai-laws...
05.01.2025 00:35 β π 14 π 1 π¬ 0 π 1For the #e-ink tablet owners, tell me about the pros and cons of your preferred tablet? Looking for something to read and annotate Word docs and PDFs on, as well as take my own notes.
02.01.2025 18:01 β π 6 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Could also be part of existing #AsssitiveTech?
11.12.2024 21:18 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Reason:
Ever since a concussion last year, I have issues looking at screens for long periods of time. I want something to assist with digital commenting on student papers. I do not want to give the students audio files, however. Also need FERPA compliant app.
Has anyone ran into an annotation/note-taking app where you can:
1. Load a PDF/Word doc,
2. Click on a place where you want to add a comment
3. Dictate a comment
4. Your words are then converted to text,
5. You can export the doc with traditional text comments

Now all I can think of is someone yelling "pull!" and shooting at the posts/skeets. #SkeetShooting

27.11.2024 22:48 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0There are several practice management companies integrating AI to help with these types of issues. I have not played with them yet, but might be worth looking at. Or use document automation software. Not everything has to be GenAI.
27.11.2024 21:36 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I admit the legal companies that were founded around law (E.g. Lexis, Westlaw, etc.) have much better terms for their AI products since they understand (and often share) our ethical obligations.
27.11.2024 21:32 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I feel for you! Same thing happens to me.

The Global Legal-Tech Competition is now open! π
Weβre looking for legal technology start-ups to pitch at our competition in February 2025 on the theme, βArtificial intelligence (AI) and its impact on legal practice.β

Asked on LinkedIn but not many replies. I am thinking about switching up a book, Robot Rules, for my AI & the Law seminar in the Spring. What is your current favorite AI book? #LegalTech #EdTech #Lawsky
27.11.2024 21:06 β π 5 π 1 π¬ 2 π 0I have never found hanging out with legal tech folks to be a waste of time, just a lot of fun :)
27.11.2024 20:46 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Am I the only one worried by the number of people who seem to think the information they are putting into an AI product is completely confidential and protected if they have opted out of putting it in the training data? No. 1 AI skill: read the full Terms of Service/Use. #AI

27.11.2024 15:03 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0So happy for my students that their final memos are done and turned in! Good luck on finals!
And now to see what I can bribe myself with to finish the next grading marathon and turn grades in on time....
#LawProfLife
#AcademicSky #LawSky let's get to know each other. Quote this & tell me: 1) a project you're working on, 2) an odd idea/theory you aren't working on but keep thinking about
1. Unending grading
2. How history repeats.
I forgot that I was going to share this prompt with you. I had my students run an earlier assignment through chatgpt with this. We then looked at one that I ran and talked about how it was changing statutory language & terms of art, but helped elsewhere. Use with careful thought was the lesson.
17.11.2024 18:02 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0If we don't teach it, they will use it anyway, but without the proper understanding of it and recommended guardrails. Or a vendor will teach it, & the students will not know enough to question some statements.
I also pointed out that our law school honor code requires explicit professor permission.
Half my students were terrified of AI and half were already using it. We had a chat at the beginning that started with the NYT article re: Mata and why they need to learn the skills themselves. At the end of the semester we are covering AI again about how it can be used ethically and responsibly 1/2
17.11.2024 17:43 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Their timing is telling.
17.11.2024 17:38 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Bribing myself - I am officially allowed to open the cheese advent calendar from Sam's when I finish grading memo drafts (who cares if it is early! It is my bribe). Love teaching - hate grading...
