📮I’m proud of the campaigns I’ve run locally to save Westbourne Post Office and get a full service Post Office back in Bournemouth Town Centre. But we shouldn’t have had to fight so hard.
Government announced this week it is protecting the post office network ⬇️
🙋🏻♀️Great to meet Student Reps from Bournemouth & Poole College in Parliament yesterday.
We had a great discussion about social media use and whether there should be age limits. As well as what we can do to improve Bournemouth Town Centre.
🌹Today is an important day in Gorton & Denton, and for the nation. It’s a chance to choose unity over division.
It was lovely to meet @uklabour’s candidate Angeliki Stoigia. She embodies Manchester’s spirit of diversity and inclusivity - and will make a fantastic MP for them.
I’m proud this government is reintroducing maintenance grants, increased the maximum maintenance loan and agreed to look again at Plan 2 student loans to ensure that regardless of background everyone has the chance to benefit from our world-class higher education.

Through investment and modernisation, we are rebuilding our NHS.
🏫 Later today the DfE will publisb its Schools White Paper and proposed SEND reforms.

The government recently launched it’s National Cancer Plan - to improve diagnosis and save lives.
Today I visited Wessex Cancer Support to learn more about how this charity supports people at all stages of their cancer journeys and their families.

Yesterday the Government announced new powers to ensure loopholes that put children at risk will be closed, and the groundwork laid for further action including the potential social media ban for under-16s which is currently being consulted on.
I support these steps.

I’m glad the Minister for Small Business an Enterprise Transformation Blair McDougall MP has taken this up for us as well.
