It’s National One-Hit Wonder Day! And one of the greatest of them all was “Angel Baby” by Rosie and the Originals, written and sung by 15-year old Rosalie "Rosie" Hamlin. One of John Lennon's favorites, like many One-Hit Wonders there’s a great story behind it.

Is this the Byrds? Or R.E.M.? No it's the Beau Brummels, a San Francisco band who's first album came out a couple of months before the Byrds' debut and features the great Sal Valentino. Their later album "Bradley's Barn" should be heard before you die.
