If you mean something more akin to a parliamentary system, I agree. If you mean zero parties, then you open the door to straight-up dictators. Or monarchists. In Saudi Arabia, Oman, Kuwait, Qatar, UAE, and Afghanistan, political parties are prohibited.

Imagine that the Green candidate wins the White House in 2028, and no Greens are elected to Congress. The Ds and Rs would do everything in their power to make the Green POTUS fail, thus destroying that party. That's why we need to take a bottom-up approach. Personally, I support DSA candidates.
