“I’d think it was a little bit of both,” Calum said quietly — he didn’t even know why, really. “Do you think it’s safe to go on?”

Calum comes in with his own Padd and his guitar. “Look! I’m in the newsletter for my guitar playing!” He hands her the padd.

Calum hadn’t seen To’Ra in a while, so he decided to stop by her quarters. Knocking on the door, he calls: “it’s Calum!”

“Color me curious.”

And he was the curious sort. Sontarans were a force to be reckoned with— why would they just abandon a perfectly good base?

“Besides, it gives us something to do, doesn’t it?”

“Not usually, that’s the Doctor’s job. But she’s not here is she?”

He shrugged and hopped down onto the ground.

“Doesn’t look like it’ll ever work again,” Calum murmured and walked behind Req.

“Do you think this place could be of use?”

Calum decided to ignore Req’s confusion. He seemed the type that didn’t like to explain himself, so he wouldn’t make him. He shrugged.

“These don’t just look disused, they look totally abandoned.”

He went over to the turrets to examine them

Make sense.”

The color looked familiar. He’d thought he’d seen it on some sontaran armor when he was with the Doctor — but he couldn’t be sure.

He went to a wall and examined it. The shortness of the buildings added up.

“Could be sontaran. They’re short little potatoes that live for war, so the turrets—

“I’m not worried about dying. If I die, I die.”

He shrugged. It wasn’t like his life mattered in the grand scheme of things. Sure, he had his band, but he was certain he wouldn’t be missed.

“I think I see something, up ahead.”

He nodded.

“She intrigued me. Plus I’ve always had that sense of adventure, y’know?”

That got a smile out of him. He truly enjoyed his time with the Doctor.

“And— Glasgow is my home. Of course I’m going tae like it!”

Calum was indeed used to running around — but he didn’t mind the change of pace. He strolled leisurely beside the Reclaimer, quiet until the question is asked.

“She was in Glasgow. Odd because she’s not usually there, but hey, runaway.”
