Ah, another lovely relaxing #GardenersWorld Winter Special. Just as well as I'm not going to get much #gardening time this weekend.

I'm now expecting that next year on #GardenersWorld we'll get someone who combines "multi-stem tree pruning" with "terrariums" and probably "bonsai". Bound to be someone who has dedicated 30 years of their life to that pursuit. 😂

We were looking at newly arrived seed packets at the Green Therapy group I help with at the local hospital. Quite a few ready for sowing in January. #GardenersWorld.

Lets just say I've just watched Monty scooping duckweed out of a pond..

I put pond scoopings on the side for 24 hours to let wildlife escape... and the forget about it and it just becomes more mulch and organic matter in the soil! #GardenersWorld

Saturday 6th December sees the last #RepairCafe of the 2025 season. Its the usual drill: 10am to 2pm at the Methodist Church Hall in Old Town, bring broken things you'd like to fix if possible and see what our repair volunteers can do. Repairs are best effort & free (though donations are welcome).

We’ll also have a Give and Take stall, where you can donate unwanted items or take an item that you’d find useful. You don’t have to give anything to take something – the stall just aims to find a second home to things that shouldn’t be discarded. This month the theme is Christmas and Homeware.

Yellow watering can in my hand in the greenhouse after watering the sweet peas in pots next to it, with rain running down the glass outside.

Walked to our #allotment to check and water the greenhouse and got there just in time for the heavens to open up as I walked up the site track. So once again the mad old beardy weirdy is watering plants whilst it's raining. ☔🌱 #gardening
