Rae's more common thinking pose is simply him crossing his arms; he holds his thoughts close to his chest then, and is somewhat defensive.
When he has to think more deeply—for problem solution or some such—he pinches the bridge of his nose with his thumb and forefinger. (1/2)

It's a way for him to give Astarion all the dates and normalcy he's missed for the past 200 years, to show him new places, and show him how much Rae loves him. (4/4)
