I should have made this up a long time ago, but another dog recently passed of ARVC (not one of ours this time) and it prompted me to get my butt into gear. If anyone hears of a sleddog passing suddenly please feel free to share this infographic on the off chance it winds up being ARVC.

Five years ago Yona was my best leader and on multiple occasions would switch sides to force the team to take a correct turn if they weren't listening. Today at our final turn, Comet ducked behind his co-leaders and pulled gee with all his might, mirroring Yona exactly. Like mother like son. ♥️

She's home and she's perfect. Sadly I came down with a cold that is taking a toll on me, so I haven't been able to spend much time with her yet, but there will be plenty of time for getting acquainted. ♥️

Thank you for your support and for advocating for Sleddogs ♥️! There are bad apples in the sport as there are anyway. But I always explain to people you'll just as easily find bad apples in hoarding cases that are average family homes that keep their dogs inside.

Last Saturday I went and visited puppies. One of the girls who I've named Karyu will be joining team Yukikaze in 3 weeks ♥️

Got a nice run in this morning. One more for the other half of the team tomorrow and then it's too warm again for a while.

Oops, we flew in some more Alaskan doggos. Kingpin and Pan went to Over The Hill Senior Sanctuary, Trooper needed a running home and is staying with me while I foster him, and Lainey is a friends puppy that I'm watching for a month until she makes her way to the Midwest. All good dogs 10/10 ♥️

Today I made a big step in finishing my tether yard! Just have to finish pounding posts fully in and add cinderblocks in low spots. This was my goal before fall training started so I can move dogs to tethers and can let dogs run from the yard to the trailer since it's fully fenced now.

I didn't name them 🤷 and they're character names, I don't think anyone's going to confuse them with a terrorist organization

I went and visited puppies on Sunday! They were sooooo cute ♥️ and yes I do have a favorite but I haven't 100% settled on her yet

To be fair with Yona's first litter, that Jaye raised, when I visited Tira didn't like me so I chose Chise. Years later Tira got hypoparathyroidism so she bumped down to my team anyway, and she sleeps in my bed every night. It's hard to judge with fear periods and whatnot :)

You mean we can't have all the puppies?! 😭

I had honestly said I'd take 2 if there was another available, but alas the list was full 🤣 I do have first female choice though so I have a very tough decision ahead of me!
