The dreamliner has a little bit of style but nothing like our queen

It's such a better silhouette than the A380. Boeing used to have so much style

Followed like 5 minutes later by the Queen of the skies, a Lufthansa 747. Hell yeah. Great day for plane watching in the back yard

I didn't think the winds were favoring the approaches/departures that go over our house but always cool to see a super heavy

Nick if Democratic allies say nothing about trans policies then you cede the entire public sphere on the issue to Republicans, who don't give a shit what any trans person thinks

Fair enough, and I'm sure Neal Gorsuch is turgid at the prospect of getting to write that opinion

I don't think Gavin has anti-trans inclinations and it's bizarre that you insist he does

I do think that the fact that the stars of the online β€œleft” are all definitionally self-employed small-business owners is underdiscussed

Having the same class interest as a realtor and hating Democrats is a less interesting combination than many think!

You have an exceptionally myopic and superficial way of looking at the issue

Cleaning up encampments from highway rights of way is actually a pretty good thing to do. It's unsafe for people to be there and can cause significant damage to public infrastructure as well

He's also taken action on encampments, signed a lot of good housing bills, stood up for trans people (especially kids), and done some pretty forward-looking things on water management/drought resilience that I think will pay off in the future

I don't know why it's a universally accepted article of faith that "Gavin Newsom sucks", when he has been a pretty good gov, specifically:
- handled COVID better than basically any other large state
- CA economy booming
- kept Diablo Canyon open
- done good things on wildfire prevention/response

I was primed for chemistry dad jokes by my delightful HS chemistry teacher who told a story about a hotel where the elements were people who checked in a "Mr Helium just floated in and didn't really interact with anyone" and Mr Lithium was "a little *too* happy"

Releasing a handful of voters on votes you can't defeat anyway is a key part of the job of minority leader/whip. If Dems hold those tight seats and take back majority this chart will look very different, you know this

This would bankrupt several cities in the bay area alone, and probably most towns in Marin and Sonoma counties as well

Reminiscent of @mcopelov.bsky.social rolling thread during Biden reminding people that he was, in fact, very good at his job.

Dems are good at their jobs because there are few exogenous margins to assist them now that the media has mostly lost its tiny little mind and the zeitgeist is Murc's Law.

Love that we have a media where the two ways of framing Republican failures are:

"those bums in Congress" or
"Dems fail to prevent [bad thing]"
