20.02.2026 08:55 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0ok i kinda like crafting since it means less trips back and forth if i need something.
also i was gonna complain that you can't mass release pokemon after catching them but then I just unlocked that ability so thats cool but why is that something you have to unlock
Attempted to explain why a business would label themselves at women/minority owned to my parents..... It did not go well ๐ฉ

Not sure how I feel about crafting yet ๐ค

I haven't played a Pokemon game since gen2 so we'll see how this goes ๐
09.02.2026 08:09 โ ๐ 5 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0watching the half time show reminded me of this director bts from super bowl 50 www.youtube.com/watch?v=gfjW...
live broadcast stuff is so fun :3

Also there was an anti ice rally right outside the venue so on a related note you should totally check out

A pile of camera gear sitting on the floor inside a rotunda. Wedding guests are mingling in the background.
Nothing makes you feel old like going to a wedding and barely knowing any of the songs the DJ is playing ๐ด๐ป
Theres also no feeling quite like being in the middle of setting up your video gear and realizing there's a hold in your pants ๐ซฃ
FWIW we ( AAPI in my immediate area) try to avoid momofuku after this fiasco www.nbcnews.com/news/asian-a...
26.01.2026 08:41 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0It's been said by so many others before but doesn't hurt to say it again, I'm proud to be part of and forever thankful for the inclusive community GDQ has created where I can safely explore what it means to be myself.
and as always: do good, relentlessly.
<end sincerepost>
It also made think about trying to be more intentional with the time I spend online. My extreme introvertedness carries over to online spaces as well but I want to try and put more effort into being part of an online community as opposed to just being active twice a year at GDQs ๐
21.01.2026 06:37 โ ๐ 8 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Considering the last two points, it made me realize we always talk about remembering to tell the people you love you love them but it's not something I'm particularly good at (I'm actually quite bad at it) so thats something I want to work on, even if it's something small like "i like your shirt!"

2) This was the most comments I proly ever got on my outfit?! I was sorta expecting it for the "Media offline" shirt given the GDQ demographic, but was totally not expecting it for the techware pants! Someone on the fashion panel liked them so you already know i'm riding that high for the next 50yrs

1)This was the 1st event where people I didn't know recognized me and stopped to say hi! Crazy that people know about me now๐คฏ I know im not the most friendly/talkative but if you were one of the people that said hi, I appreciate you! Special SO to Izzy who gave me a 3d printed ๐!
glad you like it!

16.01.2026 21:52 โ ๐ 11 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 2 ๐ 0Just want to draw special attention to this photo since it sorta shows how much work goes into making every run work and how things are constantly being worked on and fixed, even mid run. Shoutout to all the BTS people ๐๐ป

16.01.2026 21:22 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Always gotta stop by the arcade! I don't think I took any "regular" photos of DDR/SMX this time, they were all shutter dragged to make the lights look like they were coming out of the panels. Tried doing this on some other games/cabs with.... no so great results lol
16.01.2026 21:04 โ ๐ 4 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0A welcome addition to the stream room this event was the RGB lighting around the walls! The definitely helped give runner and couch portrait shots a pop of background color that didn't exist previously.
16.01.2026 20:53 โ ๐ 8 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 2 ๐ 0This lead to a bunch of slightly blurry photos that i should have been able to capture with no issue. I hate that I'm been saying this for the past couple recap threads but cranking the shutter speed when needed isn't much of an issues with advanced in denoising, i guess old habits really die hard.
16.01.2026 20:41 โ ๐ 4 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0One pretty big mistake I made this event was forgetting to changing my shutter speed. The rule of thumb is to set your shutter speed to 1/(focal length) to prevent handheld induced blur/shake and due to low light throughout the venue I had both cameras pretty much locked to 1/200
16.01.2026 20:34 โ ๐ 4 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0To no one's surprise, lighting was TERRIBLE in the hotel which made white balancing a nightmare, especially in the casual gaming + panel areas. sometimes you're dealing with stage lights (~6000K), hotel lights (~2600K), and daylight (~5400K) all in the same shot, masks are your friend >.>
16.01.2026 20:27 โ ๐ 5 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Having both cameras(a9iii and a7v) hit 15fps and have similar AF performance definitely made my life a lot easier but, as previously mentioned, a lot more photos to cull through when shooting in bursts. eshutter on a7v held up WAY better than expected, you can hardly see any bend in the drumsticks!
16.01.2026 20:12 โ ๐ 3 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0This lead to the coloring in some of the photos looking different at the start of the week before I figured out what I was doing and the end of the week after I had ironed out all the kinks
