my old wacom bamboo is now unsupported and you can't even get old drivers anymore, works perfectly (even in windows 11).

i am today asserting that a more useful definition of whether a game console is "retro" is not age, but whether or not the system is capable of connecting over HDMI.

this is both a practically useful definition and also representative of how game tech has largely plateaued over the past 20 years

...right- the laptop is struggling big time.
