I have thought of possibly trying competitive Pokemon recently, but with Wolfe Glick coming forward about being sexually assaulted and sexually harassed, I'm not wanting to touch it. I hope there's a good outcome for him in all this and he finds peace.

Nothing makes me happier than knowing my decisions this year were some of the best I've done for myself.

I think this is the first time I properly quantified this situation mathematically too. It helps explain it :D

Currently during my Chrono Trigger saga, the longest speedrun usually done is All Endings, and there's something similar here and it's from the fact that you have to fight the final boss numerous times, but on paper the final fights need to be treated the same way.

The classic example I worked on with this was the 5000 rupee Bank HP in Majora's Mask. NMG runs do bottle duplication because it saves *minutes* over other strategies. This is because of the fact that you have to make at least 10 individual deposits in the game to get the reward.

This can be easy to miss when it comes to routing speedruns: if you have to do a task in a run N total times, the time difference T between two different strats is N*t, where t is the time difference for a single iteration of the task. Faster strats will save way more time than you'd think here.

I realized that I was never a party person just for like, no reason whatsoever. My neurodivergent ass just does not like it. I like to talk to people, and at the same time I get tired as fuck doing that for an extended period of time.

I'm have a similar peeve for people overdoing it with quantum mechanics references so I definitely see why this would be annoying
