A painting of two young men carousing. One of them, in blue pants and a purple or brown jacket, sits on a stool. His head is tilted back as he drinks from a bottle he tips up with his right hand. At the right, the young man in red pants, a red jacket, and a white blouse with a black vest, holds a smoking pipe in his upraised left hand, while his left holds a covered stein by its base, so that the lid dangles toward the floor. At the back of the painting, between the two human figures, stands a skelton, bending forward, cradling a human skull in its left hand, and raising an hourglass over its head with its right hand.

A manuscript illumination of a haloed female figure within an initial letter V. She wears a sea-green gown and a rust-colored cloak. Her left elbow is bent so that her forearm is in front of her; in her left hand she holds a blue book. Her right elbow is bent so that her forearm is held upward, parallel to her body; in her right hand she holds a martyr's palm. The letter V, decorated with leaves, is contained within a square with a background of gold paint.

A drawing of a woman from about the waist up, contained in a pale colored circle of paper. She has a halo and flowers in her hair. Her hands are in front of her; the left hand is slightly above the right, and holds a martyr's palm. The description in the book informs the reader that it is a drawing of, βThomas Ballβs wife Ellen Louisa Wild in the guise of Saint Cecilia, in three-quarter view from the waist up; she holds the palm of martyrdom and wears a floral wreath, a simple halo around her head and a view of a landscape with a church and belltower behind her. In her usual style, Fanny [Francesca Alexander, the artist] only outlined the body but focused attention on her sitterβs head with precisely rendered eyelashes, hair and wreath.βThe circular artwork is mounted on a darker brown vertical rectangle of paper, on which appears two lines of handwritten text. The top line is "Santa Cecilia Martire"; the text of the 2nd line is not entirely legible.

A 17th-century still life painting. Translating from the Christie's lot essay (written in French), "The painting depicts a richly composed hanging sheaf, combining, among other things, roses, irises, tangerines, pomegranates, peaches, oranges, plums, bunches of grapes, apples, raspberries, walnuts, and ears of wheat, within which a discreet faunaβspiders and butterfliesβis nestled. This impressive arrangement is held together by a blue knot, a recurring motif in the artist's work." The predominant colors are brown and orange.

Two sheets pasted together - the white paper clipping on top is pasted onto blue paper. The top page depicts a cut-out portrait of Tsar Peter the Great against a backdrop of a wall of large stones, also incorporating stains and damage. The lower section, with small horizontal cuts suggesting bricks, features a carved text beginning "Petrus Alexeewitz Tzar et Magnus Dux Moscoviae." Below that is a four-line text in Latin by Petrus Francius. According to the NMWA website, βIn this portrait of the Russian Tsar, Koerten skillfully uses shading cuts to render different materials, such as his soft ermine stole and rigid armor.β
