I‘m wondering who exactly prompted this. like I don’t see anyone here claiming it’s not a queer story but it seems like this kinda tweet that clarifies how it’s not a romance but still queer gets posted every month

I think that sometimes fans want validation that there is in fact these elements in the story… not for it to be entirely a romance bc if it’s not outright stated that those were intended that section of the fandom gets treated like they are reading into things too much

I don’t get it if it’s not intended to be a romance novel and their relationship was not written as romantic then how would it be a supernatural romance? Wouldn’t queerplatonic (neither platonic nor romantic) be the better label?

But the author said that it’s not a romance I am confused

So would you say it’s more about a queerplatonic relationship?

How does it feel less natural

To me their relationship has both romantic and platonic elements without definitively being romantic OR platonic

But how is it undefined if it is definitively non romantic/platonic?

How does it turn the story into queerbait

Is “it’s not a typical romance” saying that it is still a romance somewhat?

So is their bond more queer platonic?

Was never that type of fan. I am here for horror as much as I am for Yoshikaru. I love that this story while focusing on a queer relationship isn’t explicitly a BL or a yaoi.
