Avoiding cosplay burnout Keeping cosplay fun and sustainable
First off, cosplay burnout isn’t your fault. Many of us lose that spark, get overwhelmed fatigued. Don’t get down on yourself, but do recognize when things are starting to feel bad.
Stop and reflect. Stepping back and looking at the whole picture can help highlight what parts of cosplay bring you joy and which parts may be sucking all the fun out of it for you.
Surround yourself with people who uplift you. Cosplay is a really social hobby for many people and the energy of those around you does impact that experience.
This is a post I’ve been wanting to make for a while reflecting on my own experiences of cosplay burnout many times over the years. I hope it’s a helpful contribution to others who may be navigating fatigue, burnout and frustration in a hobby they have a strong connection to.
