What is Trump going to sell to the country in the State of the Union on Tuesday? Tariffs, ICE, and a slower economy?
Let's look at some data. First, the tariffs are wildly unpopular. 1/
Oblivious & selfish as ever, Felon forcing his unwanted 'assistance' on ppl overseas in place where it is not wanted, while ignoring the healthcare crisis here in the US.
(Not to mention, there are many other places around the world that could actually use the aid. π€¬Con artist puts on a show again)
Imagine if HEALTHCARE WAS FREE in America, as it is in Greenland. Just imagine. πΊπΈπ¬π±

I wonder how uninsured Americans feel about the US sending a hospital ship to a country with free healthcare and 5 hospitals. 5 hospitals may not sound like much, but their entire population is 56,740.

Ms. McQuade Made This Insightful
Statement on Lawrence O'Donnell's Show,In 2020........
The most disturbing part is knowing ICE left a little girl alone and didnβt care.
Annabella was six years old when her dad was detained by ICE while he was picking up their food order. She stayed inside, waiting.
He never returned to her that day.

These two things happened roughly 12 hours apart.

RADDATZ: This is not popular with the American people. In our latest poll, two-thirds of Americans are not happy with the tariffs
JAMIESON GREER: The president has been campaigning on tariffs for many years. He does what he says. So the policy hasn't changed.
U.S. Reps Ilhan Omar (D-MN) (R) and Angie Craig (D-MN) speak to press after conducting oversight at the Bishop Henry Whipple Federal Building in St Paul, Minnesota. The two congressional representatives from Minnesota were touring the facility after being denied access last month. (Photo by David Berding/Getty Images)
Angie Craig: "They removed everyone from the ICE facility 30 minutes before we arrived β this is not the intent of the law. DHS is violating the law"
Ilhan Omar: "What happened today is a blatant attempt to obstruct members of Congress from doing their oversight duties"
And yet itβs even more dumb: Both hospital ships are in dry-dock in Alabama, so they wonβt be arriving anytime soon.
This is a weird distraction from the Danes medically evacuating a sick US sailor from a US Navy nuclear sub yesterday 9 miles from Nuuk. What was a sub doing nine miles from Nuuk?
Healthcare for Americans: βtoo expensive.β
Hospital ships overseas: full steam ahead. And U.S. taxpayers foot the bill.
Now do rural hospitals here at home.
The European Commission demanded the US honor its trade commitments after the Supreme Court struck down some of Trump's tariffs. A top EU lawmaker has since moved to pause ratification of last year's EU-US trade deal.

22.02.2026 18:14 β π 1405 π 322 π¬ 108 π 28Article about HHS Secretary Tom Price resigning because of his private jet travel
Unease about the abuse of the jet is not new. For example, a former FBI leader, William Sessions, was fired by President Clinton when it was adjudged he had used the jet for personal use. And yet: Patel has used the jet for recreational purposes, including golfing outings in Scotland, hunting trips to (Iβm not making this up) Boondoggle Ranch in Texas, or heading to the Olympics in Italy to watch ice hockey. His multiple trips to Nashville, where his girlfriend resides, has drawn the most coverage.
I'm not claiming the first Trump administration was a model of ethical behavior, but there is just a deep sense in the second term that the guardrails are gone, the boss doesn't care, and its grab-whatever-you-can time

Remember when he was preparing to buy Twitter and many of us were saying, but what about the racism?, and most people were indignantly insisting, "he's not racist!"
Just like with Trump. And now here we are.
A reminder that a majority rejected Trump's attack on Iran last year. In this CNN poll it was 44% approve, 56% disapprove.
A fun nugget - just 9% support sending ground troops into Iran. Hard to see how more chaos and adventurism is going to return his STRENGTH.

Again, I know it feels good to send a donation to someone who is finally going to send Mitch McConnell or Lindsey Graham packing, but you're going to see a *lot* more bang for your buck with less exciting but much more meaningful state legislative races.
This is a great way to do that:
