Public pressure means something. Primaries can change policies. In NY-10, Dan Goldman has been running ads for months.
Primaried from his left by @bradlander.bsky.social, Goldman’s ads have gone from “Agents should have to carry ID” in January, to big bold graphics this month that say “Abolish ICE.”

AYMAN: Can you tell me where Iran killed thousands of Americans in America?

ANNA PAULINA LUNA: I said they are responsible for thousands of Americans being killed

AYMAN: Where?

LUNA: Are you serious right now?

AYMAN: It seems like you don't want to have a good faith conversation

I really wish these things weren't on Prime. I have been boycotting Amazon for over a decade and even great movies are not going to get me to change that practice. I know I'm just a drop in Bezos' bucket, but I refuse to add to his fortune.

I was born in an Iranian prison. My parents were held in their jails. My uncles lie in their mass graves.
Nothing you can tell me about the crimes of the Iranian regime that I haven't lived in blood and bone.
That doesn't mean I want my people bombed, maimed, killed, their homes in ruins.
If your vision of liberation comes only through the destruction of innocent lives, then it's not freedom you're after.

I am pro Iranian people. I stand with them against their own government’s repression AND against the imperial violence in the form of bombs dropped from the sky from Israel & the US who have already killed hundreds.

I support neither imperialism or dictatorship.

They took down the stats, which they used to share annually, because they showed improvement. And the Feds construed that as active discrimination against white men & opened an investigation.

Instead of saying “we have nothing to hide,” they hid it.

It’s insane this is legal. People around Trump are profiting off war and death. I’m introducing legislation ASAP to ban this.

Beyond how stupid this already is, it’s not like animals only come with livers. Someone is eating the rest of the animal.

Also liver is very high in cholesterol and high in certain minerals and vitamins that, when ingested in excess, can be harmful, esp to pregnant women or T2 diabetics.

Mass horror at the killings of Renee Good & Alex Pretti has DHS’s budget at stake.

And yet in the past week, agents left a blind refugee to die alone.
And lied about it.

They pretended to be police looking for a missing child, to detain a college kid.
And lied about it.

What does this tell you?

Holy shit.

This Columbia president was seen as a tool of the wealthy business board that doesn’t care about Columbia academics.

For her to make this video now calling out the Trump administration explicitly is huge. My first reaction is it reflects how far Trump public support has fallen.

It should be a basic question: Who is paying for security for the seven World Cup matches at Gillette Stadium? But at a Select Board meeting in Foxborough last week, there was more frustration than answers. Learn more here: https://bit.ly/4ryw1Q9

I don't think the "Einstein" or other AI replacing the important steps of learning, esp in higher ed, would be posing quite the challenge it is right now if students hadn't been sent the message their entire lives that the point of college is to get good grades and a high paying job, not to learn.
