"Oh god, why." As a reaction, when hit with a melee attack by a creature with 4 INT or higher, you may raise your shield. The that struck you must make a WIS Saving Throw or take 2d12 Psychic damage, talking half damage on a success.

When combined with a Non-Magical Shield during a long rest, this item becomes attunable. The newly formed shield uses the combined shield's stats, and gains a new attribute.
