More boring running talk but just finished the biggest mileage of the 10k plan and, regardless of how the race goes in a couple of weeks, realised doing higher mileage weeks with the majority of it at a slow pace, feels really good!

Hopefully try and keep that going after the race.

Steady 10 miles around a 1 mile road loops this morning with a stunning, cold, sunrise.

Kinda got me thinking about doing an ultra again but might build up the mileage first.

Yup. That’ll be why I’ve woken up with a headache and sore throat. Will give the morning run a miss then.

Turns out I have a dried blood clot that’s resting on the ear drum which wasn’t shifting despite doc using a fair bit of drops and suctioning it. Got to use drops for 2 weeks by which time it’ll hopefully shift and go back.

Sounded really loud him suctioning the ear and room was spinning after

Ear update - too much dried blood in ear canal so at the hospital for them to hopefully wash it out.

Going back to have full stereo hearing and be able to use both AirPods will be bliss 🙏🏽

Okay, officially bored of feeling like we’re living in a fridge for the last week…

This weather might be a pain to travel in but it’s bloody beautiful ❄️ 😍

Well that was a chilly speed session this morning in -3° temperatures.

Pavements a no go so dodging cars but still preferred over the treadmill.

5.5 mile run on the roads this morning. Thankfully early doors so not too much traffic.

Think the 1 mile walk to work on snow and ice covered pavements is going to be more dangerous and difficult 🙏🏽

Daughter had an inset day today and school announced they’re closed because of snow/ice and they’ll be doing online lessons.

Like actual work there they’ve got to dial into lessons and do proper work.
