You can do it using the Bitnami Discourse image with a custom docker-compose file in Coolify.
I wrote a short guide here: softuts.com/running-disc...

Quick reminder: no one cares about your product.
Just launch it, even if it's bad. You will learn a lot more than trying to anticipate what might happen.

Over the years, using MongoDB was one of the best choices for some of my projects.
With "schema-less" MongoDB, things just work.
It speeds up development a lot when you don't have to run ALTER TABLE commands, and you can set, retrieve and copy-paste data directly in JSON format.
I am now asking the AI to give me an AI prompt that creates an AI that uses an AI...

This is like the opposite of Twitter/X, where followers are going down even though I keep posting regularly...

Did you buy anything IRL this Black Friday?
I got some "consumables", including a pair of π shoes.
Shoes are really important in table tennis, because there is a lot of lateral movement, so you need very good lateral support, otherwise you risk twisting your ankle.
This Black Friday, I offer some huge discounts for my self-hosted web analytics platforms: wplytic.com or uxwizz.com!
Pay once, use forever!

It's something nice to consider, but for my product (and I think Cloudflare and DO too) 90%+ of the sales come from desktop, not mobile. I doubt people buying software like this do it on their mobile phones.
29.11.2024 15:30 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Good point. Are the comparison tables horizontally-scrollable on mobile?
In my case, I tried to keep all features visible and highlight the differences between the plans.
Added a gradient behind the deal price (instead of a solid color), it really draws the eyes.
I still have to do something with the long list of features. My reasoning is that it feels like you are getting more, rather than simply writing "all features included".

This is true, and I plan to add UI for it.
Meanwhile, the AI does quite a good job of generating such charts:

Thanks.
This is for a time-limited, big discount.
A 60% Black Friday discount, usually the app is never discounted.
Put it live, and got the first sale! I assume it's working well enough to start marketing it:
18.11.2024 13:22 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Yeah, see the other comments in this thread about using red.
Without it, the deal doesn't look as a "good deal" for some reason.
Most brands seem to use red, even if it's not part of their branding, hmmm
18.11.2024 09:38 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I think it looks cleaner, but the offer doesn't seem as good for some reason :D

18.11.2024 09:36 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 3 π 0Makes sense, with the branding.
> Generally using red as a highlight is something humans don't associate good things with psychologically.
I remember reading a book about pricing (forgot the name) and studies showed that red prices convert better, this is why I chose red.
Hmm, thanks for the suggestion!
My idea was, at some point, to add an ( i ) info icon next to each feature, so when you hover you see a video of what that feature does.
I was also thinking that showing a list of the main features reinforces the value of the product.
Maybe I can A/B test it.
Black? Or a tamer color?
This was my inspiration, lol:
The product is already launched, I added the Black Friday deal prices.
My concern is that it might be too "into your face" and scare the users away.
I actually looked over the Lidl catalog to see how they show their promotional prices π
