Thinking of new ways to improve The Graveyard Shift by addidnt come more player choice, into ita sequel(s) while keeping it in a rules light fashion is tricky.
I understand why so many 18 seem to have so many mechanics.

I would say mechanics is the next cause of choosing a game.
Theme, art and replayability are all great selling points too but if it's a choice between a deck-building vs an I-pick-you-choose that's what will make it a hard choice in my book.

A new prototype is here! I decided to scrap the previous edition & go for a Hook Box with Poker sized cards instead.
I had to redraw/design everything, but I prefer the new edition of the game. I still have much to do but #birdsonawire should be available soon!

Thankfully prototypes are done b/c, it may look ok in a photo, the ink is too dark (the shovel can barely be seen irl on the tin bottom).
