And it wasn't the daily ninja looting, nor the blatant racism, sexism or bigotry of group members, nor the people who thought it was funny to make threats of sexual violence, but it was you, as a community, that broke the camels back. When people come to this Discord for loot issues, they are in a vulnerable position. They feel like they have lost something. They feel attacked. Cheated. They come for support as much as anything else, and if you cannot lead with sympathy, you shouldn't be doing anything of this sort. Because right now all you're doing is creating a trap for people who need help. This is what happened with the player above. In a time of need, she came to *you* for help, after 3 days of self-centered, problematic players. She finally thought she had somewhere to turn to deal with these issues, and you people kicked her while she was down. As the primary person I played with, needless to say, I'm out too. (She played mostly healers, just for reference. All my characters are tanks.) This Discord is 100% as toxic as the people it is supposed to combat. Do better. Lead by example. If you want people to stop being toxic, it has to start here. At least then you can say you haven't caused more damage.

- Blizzard (B) doesn't mind bots. Bots pay subs.

- B's site for reporting ninja looters leads to an article saying too bad, so sad. (Paraphrasing.)

- B's "Contact Us" site results in chatgpt-responses rarely applicable to your ticket.

3. Hostile language everywhere.

3.a) Group & guild members use toxic rhetoric daily, without repercussions. Calling out such comments is fruitless. Raid/Group leaders let them stay. Guilds excuse all behavior as a "joke" (e.g. threatening to find you and R you).

2.d) Today, I asked in LFG how raids deal with loot ninjas. Was directed to the discord. Posted a similar list as above. Got *reemed* by mods for reporting low-lvl raids, & for not having screenshots. (The latter is understandable, but the "GTFO" was... shocking.)

2.c) Monday: Paladin rolls need on a ubrs/lbrs Flask recipe. I — 300alch — lose the roll. I see it on the AH; they didn't even send it to an alt first.

Pally laughs, says they "needed gold" so they rolled need. Says to "quit bi*chin" and "go farm gold to buy it".

2. People ninja loot & laugh about it like it's a core feature.

2.a) Saturday: Rogue wins a NMD caster cloak and give it to their in-raid caster alt. No one cares.

2.b) Sunday: A warlock rolls on a +healing wand in ST. Wins, gets called out. Laughs & equips it.

<1 week of World of Warcraft (SoD), and...

1. Bots have taken over the economy.

Half the things you list on the Auction House are immediately undercut by 1 copper.

Or, items you're looking to buy are bought in mass and resold at massively inflated prices. (Just like RL, I know.)

Less than 1 week back to World of Warcraft SoD (after ~20 years) and... 🧵

Do you want it to be similar to WoW, or different?

Either way, my first two thoughts were:
- Balder's Gate 3 (similar fantasy RPG vibes, great & lengthy story)
- No Man's Sky (massive sandbox, can be played however you want you play it: explore, build bases/farms/ranches, fight/become pirates, +)
