As an additional fun filled fact!!

If you were to find yourself buried under such a rat blob, the pressure you would experience would be about the same as being at the bottom of a swimming pool: at a depth of 1.33 m (4.35 ft). So provided you can breathe, you wouldn't be crushed.

I assumed you meant a metric ton as starting mass. If so, then such rat would have a total volume of ~1.05 cubic meters.

If they are plopped against a solid surface, they would make the approximate shape of a truncated oblate spheroid.

Width = 2.70 m (8.87 ft)

It took me a bit to find an equation to approximate the shape such a blobby critter would have. I have to thank you for that because I'll probably end up doing a ScienceWithTzin about it. It was a fun challenge to calculate it.
