Let's talk size. Our standard has a minimum height of 28 inches for females and 30 inches for males. Weight can vary from under 100 to 170 pounds. I get messages from people worried their dane isn't big enough. How do you feel about size? Do you worry your dane is too large or small? #dogs

Welcome Smokey to GDRI. He is understandably a little timid at the moment, but he’s warming up to his new foster home quickly. As per usual, Otis, my other Dane, expects new dogs to instantly be his best friend. He is fine around her smaller dogs, as well as cats and even a bird. Cont.

May’s ideal home with just have humans that are home bodies. She loves a short, daily walk. She loves van rides. She would love a retired life so she can sleep and cuddle and give kisses to her humans. Cont. #dogs

May has been with us 6 months now and would really live to find her family. She is a big girl at 175ish pounds who needs a family that will watch her weight. At 6 she is at that age where she is hard to place because she is too old for many families but too young for others. Cont.

She’s gotten a few things off the counter even though I “think” I’ve set them back far enough. Bailey is a true joy to have around. All the love you can give her is just alright with her. If you stop, it isn’t above her to ask for more, more, and more! Cont.
