From the Athletic’s MLS survey, D.C. United’s Audi Field is the worst of the soccer-specific stadiums and its training facility ranks low (though not the lowest, which is a bit surprising given its size, location, overuse and general cheapness).

Audi Field and all the Loudoun facilities scream cheapness, poor planning, and lack of professional pride. They’re exhibits A & B in a long list of reasons MLS should force Levien & Kaplan to sell the team. Expansion is not in the immediate future for MLS. They should demand better of current teams

The USL is desperate to enact pro/rel to grow its fanbase, but the league office offers little support to its clubs once the expansion checks clear. No revenue sharing, and an average of two clubs folding each offseason for a decade.
So cynical to drop this update 2-3 weeks before kickoff.
