The "a-ha – Ranking Highs and Lows" podcast has released another new episode. This time JP and Jesper are joined by musician (and a-ha fan) Sondre Lerche, who presents his own ranking of the 36 best a-ha songs. It's a really fun and interesting conversation. Listen here:

Magne and the other owners of Brettesnes Farm had invited the local community yesterday, to celebrate the re-opening of the farm after an extensive renovation.
"It's so nice to have everyone gathered here today, and hear all their different stories", Magne told local newspaper Lofotposten (paywall).

Former a-ha bassist Jørun Bøgeberg is a special guest on the latest podcast episode of "a-ha – Ranking Highs and Lows".
Interviewed by hosts JP and Jesper, Jørun shares some of his favorite moments from his time with a-ha in the 1990s.

The Norwegian photographer Bjørn Opsahl has passed away at the age of 56. Among his most famous photos was the cover of a-ha's 'Minor Earth | Major Sky' album in 2000, taken during a trip to the Mojave Desert.
He was also behind several single covers and a-ha promo shots around the same time.

The a-ha podcast 'Ranking Highs and Lows' has released a new episode, in which they discuss Magne's latest solo album 'Living With Ourselves'.

Ørjan Nilsson's new book about Magne Furuholmen is called "Livslinjer" ("Lifelines" in Norwegian) and is set to be published on March 7th, 2025.
The book is based on extensive conversations between Ørjan and Magne, which have been done separately from the recent podcast series.

Record Store Day 2025 is coming up on April 12th. This year Rhino/Warner will release "Hunting High and Low – The Demos" on vinyl.
It's a follow-up to "Hunting High And Low - The Early Alternate Mixes", which was released for Record Store Day in 2019.

Paul (2017):
"That was perhaps the one concert where we really pushed ourselves to the limit. We didn't make any easy choices, playing long songs and very complicated stuff. Almost like a theatrical performance, from complete silence to full energy - very contrasted."

On this day 45 years ago, Paul, Magne and the rest of Bridges co-headlined a concert with Norwegian punk rockers Kjøtt at Dovrehallen in Oslo.

I think CD number 5, 6 and 7 (from the left) is a very strong trio from 1996-97. Morten's "Vogts Villa" album, Magne's "Hotel Oslo" soundtrack and Savoy's "Lackluster Me" album are probably my favorite solo projects from each a-ha member - and they were all released within less than a year!

The 'Living With Ourselves' CD arrived from Japan. It looks and sounds really good. According to Magne there are no plans for any further CD or vinyl releases of the album. So it might be a good idea to get the Japanese CD while it's available:
