I've found that in technology there is no silver bullet. It's just unfortunate that you have to brute force your way through an update. I believe that containerization works well when you control your whole infrastructure (or have authority of what impacts yours). Otherwise, it's more work.

That absolutely makes sense. I'm much stricter with who I allow to follow me and who I follow. So it seems likely I won't share your unfortunate "twitter friend mob" fate. I'm sorry you have to experience this on any platform. I'm lucky to be unimportant.

I've only had two strangers follow. I blocked one that was obviously a bot and the other seems to be an iPhone app developer. I wonder why so many follow you.

These days I'm so used to all the garbage AI posts on FB that I am in awe of actually seeing the recent posts of my friends who I am following on BS. It just occurred to me that the abbreviation for Bluesky is BS. Not sure if that was an ideal choice on their part, but I think I can handle it.
