Last nights sunset on the still frozen Lake Logan #sunset #hockinghills

The snow has mostly melted but the ice is hanging around at Lake Logan SP

That takes a special kind of endurance but I know its what you get used to and May-October up there maybe the first half October and the second half of May make it worth it. Our family in Montana say its perfect here during our 6 weeks of summer. LOL

Before the big melt at Cool Rock Valley.

My attempt to capture the prisms and flashes on the snow that the sun was creating. Definitely need a filter or something. They were visible to me everywhere, but the camera only captured a couple of them.

Eventhough its still very cold, water is still flowing a little down our frozen waterfalls. It sounds very peaceful. Melting begins tomorrow as temps get up to around 40.

The days are getting noticeably longer now. Still a little daylight past 6pm. This was taken just before 5pm. By the weekend we should be seeing a melt and much warmer days. This has been unusual to have snow on the ground for 3 weeks.

Planning on lots of time in Nature over the next 4 years. Escape and Ascend. 💚🩵💙
