Closing Words

In short, thanks again for an amazing year, thanks for sticking with me through the thick and thicker. I'm a little scared for this year as so much is changing in real life for me as well as online. All this change is scary but a good kind, one where in the end we all improve.

This year my main goal is to make new types of videos, stuff that isn't mari0 or game dev. I have many other things I'm interested in now that I want to share, Just recently I've been messing with Minecraft Datapacks.

In 2025 I _WILL_ make at least 2 games, one game jam game and one regular game, If I don't I will die.

Last year I chose more collabs and learning to make music as my goals, I did achieve more collabs in the form of a new group channel, The Three Susketeers. But I still can't mosic.

Gamedev Recap + Plans

Another flop, I've not had the time to do anything. This year I again partook in the Love2d Game Jam and earned get 6th Place! I'm quite happy with that. But other than that I've not done anything.

When I made the post last year I had no idea that I'd end up with the decision to "quit" Mari0 in 2025. So my original plans kind of went out the window.

I have 3 mappacks left I want to make, 1 already in the works, 1 I'm concepting now and 1 to cap things off. I will attempt to do this by July.

Mari0 Recap + Plans

I released 1 mappack this year, and barely. I was 16 hours off from releasing no mappack this year. It's been tough to find the energy to make anything this year.

12 Maps of Christmas 5 has received ~40 Downloads in the last 2 days which is good.

For 2025 I will aim to match 2024 and release 9 longform videos. I will be ditching shorts due to diminishing returns and my general distaste for the format. I will be aiming to surpass 1,250 Subscribers in 2025 which is less than what I'm currently gaining as I expect it to slow down.

I released 12 videos total, 3 being shorts and 9 being longform, I was hoping to hit 18 this year and would of if it weren't for the break in the middle of the year I needed to take off. So overall I am not upset. I didn't stream once. I think I've learned that streaming isn't my thing.

I fumbled this year, I took a long break for my own wellbeing and it affected my channels growth in terms of views and watch time, Almost 16K is still great amount.
And I doubled my subscriber intake, with one sub a day the whole year!
