Jim Harbaugh once bragged about setting a βgold standardβ for rules compliance at Michigan.
The NCAA infractions committee, today: βThere was little, if any, emphasis on following the rules.β

Yaxel Lendeborg, who came to Michigan via Arizona Western and UAB, never felt like he belonged. Now heβs found his fit as the next multi-talented big man in Dusty Mayβs unique system.
βHeβs a pro playing college basketball.β

Dusty May, a former student manager at Indiana, is going back to Bloomington at an awkward time, with Mike Woodsonβs future all but decided. How a coach from the Bob Knight School of Hard Knocks became an expert on new-school thinking:

The reporter on this piece is Katie Strang, as good a sports investigative reporter as weβve ever seen in sports journalism.
31.01.2025 14:17 β π 218 π 34 π¬ 4 π 0The reason why Dan Campbell's football team is who it is today is because he refuses to let it forget what it was four years ago. When they played like Northern Savages but without any talent.
Detroit has the talent now.
Lions are gonna be here a minute.

Iβm proud to organize and stand in solidarity with my colleagues at The Athletic.
Sports jobs are union jobs.

We are the Canadian workers of The Athletic and this morning we filed with the Canadian Industrial Relations Board our intent to unionize with CWA Canada.
Later today, we'll do the same with the Ontario Labour Relations Board.
Join us as we organize.
Will be interesting to see how long Mikey Keene can hold off Bryce Underwood. Keene raises the floor Michiganβs offense, but if Underwood is close to being ready, gotta think heβll be playing.

Chip Lindsey, confirmed as Michiganβs next OC by @brucefeldmancfb.bsky.social, coached the No. 2 rusher in the FBS at UNC and was OC when Auburn ran and threw for 3,000 yards in 2017.

Would Michigan fans trade this 7-5 season for a 10-2 season that included a CFP bid and a loss to Ohio State? I have my own thoughts, but Iβll leave the question open.

SOURCE: Purdue is firing head coach Ryan Walters, @TheAthletic has learned.
Walters went 5-19 in two seasons and 1-11 this year. ESPN first reported the news.
Four straight wins.

Ohio State finally did what it should have been doing the whole game: going fast, putting pressure on Michiganβs corners. The result was a TD drive that ties the game at 10.

β No Colston Loveland is a tough break. Heβs been the only reliable part of the passing game.
β Michigan needs its DL to control the game. OSU will run the ball if it can.
β Is Jyaire Hill out of the doghouse? Cuz Michiganβs corners will be tested.
Wink Martindale is the O.G. of a defensive system that has beaten Ohio State three years in a row. Itβs time for the O.G. to show what he can do.

Hey, the running game is back. Kalel Mullings had four carries for 73 yards on Michiganβs opening drive of the third quarter. Michigan is up 24-6, and this is pretty much over.

A few thoughts:
Michigan needs to scrap the deep/intermediate passing game next week. Screens, quick passing game β thatβs what Davis Warren does best. Running game hasnβt been there lately, which is worrisome. Michigan has 14 yards on the ground.
