This is why I created the following prompt for Q CLI: www.promptz.dev/prompts/prom...
An Amazon Q Developer CLI prompt I heavily use is this one - "Conventional Commit Message":
>_ Commit the staged changes following the conventional commit specification.
It is a straightforward but powerful prompt.

Another great example of using Q CLI with the new agent capabilities: create meaningful git commit messages following the conventional commit specification. See a quick example in the attached video. Here is a prompt for you: www.promptz.dev/prompt/2f22f...

promptz.dev has a new dress π Over the last days, Q Developer and I worked heavily to get this refactoring shipped. What looks like a simple touch-up at first glance is the foundation for many features that I plan to launch this year.

- what cases should be covered by unit tests?
- what cases should be covered by snapshot tests?
- what are your coding guidelines for test files and how do you structure your tests?
Want to use Amazon Q Developer to create CDK snapshot tests following best practices? I created a first version of a prompt for you. Let me know what you think:

I'm preparing PROMPTZ for, hopefully, many great updates around Amazon Q Developer. Let's start with this one: Markdown support. πΌοΈ
Structure your prompts with lists, quotes, and code blocks as well as external links embedded into the how-to field for additional resources.

Amazon Q Developer lost a lot of its initial restrictions. That means a lot of prompts contributed to PROMPTZ might work also for @github.com CoPilot vice versa. Maybe they are not that effective but a good starting point. I often use cursor rules for inspiration. cursor.directory

Nice one. While working with next.js for PROMPTZ, I was surprised at how easily this feature can be implemented. What is the meaning of the different background colors?

23.11.2024 21:14 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0PROMPTZ was not only built FOR Amazon Q Developer but also heavily WITH the help of it. One prompt that made a huge difference for me was this one: www.promptz.dev/prompt/2b0aa...
I called it the "Senior Engineer" prompt to let Q ask clarifying questions instead of jumping to conclusions too early.
Do you mean using the prompts for other AI Coding Assistants than Amazon Q Dev?
21.11.2024 10:12 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I wrote a bit about my past experience and the differentiating factors. I truly believe that a lot of the things that make a difference in using AI assistants for coding are vendor-agnostic:

A huge issue is still to build up a prompt library, reusing proven patterns and flows. This is where PROMPTZ now kicks in. I have some more ideas on how it not only helps discovering good crafted prompts but also helping you with prompt engineering.
20.11.2024 15:32 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I absolutely want to get the most out of any tools I use. I learned a lot in the past months about integrating Q in my workflows. Once stepped over the learning curve, I am now getting very productive. Especially on using Q Dev beyond coding.
